Hello Everyone,
First of all a massive thanks to everyone who listened to, and made the first podcast such a success. Particular thanks to Jessie for her time and for being such an honest and engaging first guest.
I'm pleased to say that our guest on our second podcast is elite swimmer and swim lifesaver Bernard Cahill.
At 21, Bernard, this year alone won 9 Munster swim titles and is the current National short course 400M Front crawl champion. Bernard won a gold, two silvers and a bronze at this years European Senior life saving championship along with being a ten time national swim lifesaving champion.
Bernard was named Irish water safety sports personality of the year for 2015.
In 2012, Bernard was world junior lifesaving champion and became a world record holder in lifesaving. He also won 5 European junior lifesaving titles.
Along with his sporting achievements, Bernard manages to balance life as an elite athlete with studying at the University of Limerick for a degree in education. In episode 2 of the Sport Psych Sesh podcast we'll talk to Bernard about how he incorporates Sport Psychology into his own performance and about Athletic Identity.
Expect the podcast to be posted in the next day or two and we hope you'll enjoy it.
Eoghan,
@EoghanMcNeill
